The revolution will not have good UX
Adam Curry is the modern Prometheus. His discovery of podcasting and sharing it with the world was a development as important as when Prometheus stole fire from the gods to give humans. Podcasting has quickly become one of the most popular ways to communicate valuable information, completely disintermeding the CIA controlled media apparatus. While Bitcoin seeks to separate money and the State, Podcasting seeks to separate organizations and information from union news.
Giving the world podcasting was not enough for Curry, since it is now looking for once again to fight the control of the gods by allowing people to participate in what the “value economy by value” coined by allowing podcasters to receive ray payments.
The value economy by value is massive. There are tools such as YouTube Super Chats, Paypal, Patreon and more that allow content creators to receive large amounts of value of their audience without having to trust only the sponsors.
The value economy for the value of Bitcoin is much smaller, but in my opinion as a significantly more important journalist. The first value of value of Bitcoin was when Wikileaks was expelled from the fiduciary payment rails. Exposing war criminals is one of the central responsibilities of journalists, but it is an activity not approved by the parasitic ruling class. One of my slogans is Journalism dies in complianceand build the entire media apparatus at the top of the systems that depend on the permission to operate will kill any capacity to transmits any real information.
In recent months, through revelations on the Financing of the USAID media, the play book on how the media apparatus is controlled has been exposed so that everyone sees it. The systems to control and manipulate information are sophisticated and, often, are not evident. In order for many media companies to obtain notable funds, they have to bend the knee to the ruling class, sacrifice any dignity they have and make a failure on people who probably had close links with Jeffrey Epstein. That is why I left the traditional media to be formed The bugleThe world’s main news agency.
There are many myths about the institution of journalism. Many believe that journalists should tell the truth, provide useful information to people and expose irregularities. People who believe that these myths have probably not interacted with many journalists. I would say that the institution of journalism is more about participating in covert propaganda, hidden behind the cover (myth) of having moral terrain.
Most journalists are individuals who are mercenaries for those who will pay them.
After the efforts of Adam Curry and Julian Assange, The bugle It has completely operated a value model by value, using bitcoin as the main financing mechanism. The product we are selling is our content. We do not operate as a marketing agency for companies that try to sell products to our consumers, because that means that the content becomes secondary. To receive value from its consumers, it must first produce something valuable enough.
The challenge of going completely Bitcoin is that you are asking your audience to go in the kingdom of Bad Ux. Lightning has been one of the monetization columns for The bugle As micropagues are excellent for users looking to send small payments.
Some may say that tools such as Fountain, Nostr, BTCPay Server and other tools that allow content consumers to send Bitcoin to content creators lack the necessary UX to make a difference. This seems to be the general consensus. “The revolution needs to have a good UX to happen” is, in my opinion, a defective thought. The bad UX of these platforms allows them to be predominantly occupied by real revolutionaries and scares the weak hearts, who find to use their brain even the slightest an obstacle so insurmountable that they end up seeing Netflix.
In The bugleWe are not competing with Netflix. We are not attending to those who do not have the will or the ability to think. We are attending to the few, the proud, the revolutionaries. According to our analysis, 90% of our podcast listeners use Fountain. We are limiting the potential growth of the audience by focusing on promoting our content on platforms with bad user experience, but in doing so, we are pointing to those who really matter. The bugle It is not for his father Boomer who believes that smoking cigarettes is bad for you, he believes in the holiness of institutions and has many opinions about things about which he has done zero research. No, we are attending to those who have done the work test and have an opinion that really matters.
Bitcoin originally had a horrible UX and, therefore, was only used by revolutionaries. Those who were undermining thousands of Bitcoin in the CPU at first can be (come) some of the richest people in human history. Satoshi did not stop the revolution to first implement a good UX. He knew that the NPCs that were terrified to use command lines eventually arrived, but that for the project to be successful, he had to start with those who were willing to get into the unknown.
Our society lacks personal responsibility. It lacks responsibility. Do not value the individual. Preaches altruism and focuses on the “common good.” All this results from the demands of good UX. As a result, the weakest (more gay) rises to the top. Everything is based on a popularity contest determined by the least exceptional among us. The idea of having a real meritocracy threat to those who refuse to do any job, or that find it difficult to organize brain cells for tasks other than superficial pleasure.
I reject these facilities. I think we can build a valuable media company while we use BAD UX. I think we can have more impact in general terms when trying to attack exclusively those with the ability to wade in nuances and go beyond group thought with brain death. All my life I have been hungry for content that has depth and meaning. Sitting aside with the hope that someone else goes to the dish is not the mentality of someone who matters. I will not spend my time trying to convince stupid people not to be stupid. If I did that, it would be because I do not value my time and I do not value myself. On the other hand, I will spend my time trying to inspire revolutionaries, makers, demoralized people because they feel isolated in a sea of mediocrity.
