XRP Ledger is ready to welcome an important amendment in the next few hours. According to the veterinarian, the credential amendment in the Book Mayor XRP will be activated in hours. Credentials can be applied to attest to a compliance requirement such as KYC and AML for a user/institution and issued to their decentralized identity.
The amendment of the credentials has received 28 of 35 votes (82.86%) and is expected to activate on September 4, 2025, 3:51:21 AM UTC.
According to the documentation of the XRP Book, credentials represents a set of tools to administer the authorization and compliance requirements using XRP LEDger and add three new types of transactions for the management of credentials. These are credential transactions of creation, which creates a credential in the main book; Credentialcept transaction, which accepts an emitted credential, and credential of the transaction, which eliminates a credential of the main book.
Among other things, the credentials modify an existing type of transaction, add a new field to various types of existing transactions, adds a new type of entry of the main book, modifies an existing type of entry of the main book and also allows the search for credentials inputs.
Last week, three amendments were activated, Fixammv1_3, FixefforceFtokentrustlinev2 and Fixpaychancelafter, in the Ledger Mainnet XRP.
XRP rises 400%
