My name is Jordi Llonch Esteve, and my life has been defined by one thing – motion.
Long before finding Bitcoin, I worked as an airline pilot. I woke up in a new country almost every morning! I carry many invaluable experiences with me since that time, while I learned to navigate on the scales, find local shortcuts and detect the best places to go and things to do, and also to avoid! But throughout all these adventures, a thing that was missing was always missing:
I lacked community. That was always a fight.
Finally, I changed direction and exchanged cabins for new companies. My biggest company, Shared Academy -The first tutoring market in pairs from Europe-FUE what I call a “successful failure.” We won The best application in the world In Mobile World Congress and received invitations to work for private initiatives and directed by the Government in Spain, Switzerland, South Korea, Portugal and France. I still remember celebrating that victory … and then hitting the hard clash of running out of steam.
The company did not survive, but the lessons they obtained.
After that time, defeated, I needed to recover. My former partners Simón Lee and Andrés Manso invited me to join their new company, Peninsula Corporate Innovation. I helped large corporations to remain relevant through open innovation, a bridge between new companies and established giants. Sitting in together rooms dominated by the rats race and the fiduciary mentality made me yearn for free skies: the contrast could not have been more marked. This was a moment of learning and adaptation, and also curiosity when I dropped around the sovereignty thanks to Bitcoin.
During those ten years, five academies to share and five in Peninsula, I constantly traveled: always in motion, meet customers and forge IRL connections. I was no longer a pilot, but my lifestyle hadn’t changed much. What took me a long time to realize is that there is a term that describes this lifestyle: Digital Nomad. And that there are almost 50 million of the United States sailing the world in this way, balancing work, travel and community.
Between Bitcoin and the world of travel, he had found a home.
Then, in 2024, I met Aleksandar Svetski – Bitcoin Entrepreneur, author of The non -communist manifesto and Bitcoin Bushidoand founder of Bitcoin’s times. When he told me what I was working on, I couldn’t believe it. A new type of application for travelers and bitcoiners? Talk about the perfect time!
