Ethereum assigns a 6 -month privacy plan: what changes for users now

Key control

The Ethereum Foundation has launched its “Privacy Trans Stewards” initiative, a road map to integrate privacy in the battery. Meanwhile, US regulators are pressing for more strict surveillance.

The Ethereum [ETH] Foundation has just launched its “Privacy Administrators for Ethereum”, a 6 -month plan to bring characteristics such as private transactions, decentralized identity and even confidential vote in the ecosystem.

The moment is not random.

The US regulators have recently floated the identity requirements for Defi, and Ethereum itself is under pressure, with a record validator queue. Privacy, apparently, is becoming a survival strategy.

The road map for a private Ethere

The newly renamed privacy administrators of Ethereum (PSE) have established a 3-6 months plan to generate privacy in each layer of the network, from protocol and infrastructure to applications and wallets.

Includes the development of Plasmafold, a layer 2 for private transfers, introducing confidential vote and privacy advance in defi.

In fact, the road map is also aimed at long -standing concerns such as RPC data leaks and identity exposure, proposing zero -knowledge solutions to protect users without sacrificing usability.

The pse route map,

“Ethereum deserves to become a central infrastructure for global digital trade, identity, collaboration and internet of value. But this potential is impossible without private data, transactions and identity.”

Added,

“We assume responsibility within the Ethereum Foundation to ensure that the privacy objectives in the application layer are achieved.”

In a nutshell? Ethereum cannot fulfill its role as a financial and global identity infrastructure without privacy.

Two different paths

But Ethereum’s impulse due to privacy occurred when US regulators are moving in the opposite direction.

The Treasury Department, under Secretary Scott Besent, is considering proposals that would bake the identity controls of the Government in contracts Defi Smart.

Critics warn that the movement could encode surveillance in defi infrastructure.

Vitalik Buterin has expressed in this front, emphasizing that privacy is a human right, and in April, he argued that “transparency is more an error than a characteristic.”

The validator tail brings new concerns

At the same time, Ethereum has faced a different type of pressure.

The validator’s exit tail has increased to 2.67 million ETH, the highest level in the history of the network. This means that many stakers choose to retire.

While outputs do not necessarily mean a loss of faith, they can also be a sign of rebalancing or gain taking.
